Being a kid! For children, their occupation includes self-care (dressing, grooming, feeding, sleeping), productivity (school, work), and leisure (sports, hobbies, community activities, play). When a child is experiencing difficulty in one of these areas - whether the result of a delay, disorder, or injury – functional abilities, as well as confidence and self-esteem, are impacted.
The goal of Lighthouse Occupational Therapy is to enable your child to build and develop skills, confidence, and greater independence with their daily activities. In addition, we determine if there are environmental factors that are limiting your child's ability to be successful.
